Why life is a game
Have you ever woken from deep sleep and experienced a moment you were there but thoughts had not begun?
You were aware of the pure physicality of life
Often too soon, the inner narrative starts...
"I'm here. In my room. I gotta make coffee. What day is it? What's going on downstairs?"
It begins...
by itself
uninvited
… the story of your life
If you've had this experience;
1) it's proof you are not your story
If so, who are you?
2) it's proof you are not the creator of that story
If so, who or what is responsible?
3) You DO have agency in assessing the validity of that story, especially if it causes you stress
You can then reinterpret if it serves you better
Life becomes a game
You're beholden to a narrative, realise it, challenge it if necessary, and act in alignment with the new version
This is freedom
When I was feeling confused and lost in the world, I needed hope, autonomy, and understanding. These daily snippets are for that young human struggling in the challenging game of life.
They should take you 30 seconds to read!
