Money, power, dating, fast cars. People want these because we’re programmed to survive and thrive

We’re hardwired to secure health, wealth and relationships

Can we place ‘spirituality’ up there on the same level?

Yes!

Desire...

It’s all about desire

A desire arises.

In our own consciousness. Like a wave arising in the ocean.

We may then act to fulfil the desire.

Walk to the fridge... or drive to the cinema... book the flight

The object of the desire is then ‘consumed’ and the desire settles.

Relief. Satisfaction. Happiness

It’s like an itch that goes away

Both the arising and the fulfilment of the desire take place in consciousness.

But the catalyst for the fulfilment of the desire is outside of us

The question is – do we need that catalyst?

Can we cut out the middleman?

THAT is spirituality.

Spiritual growth is the process of becoming more familiar with consciousness, your consciousness.

How it works and how it affects your life

If you believe you are a person in a body, separate from the world, you are living a VERY one-sided aspect of existence.

Your state of living will be prone to restlessness, confusion, disempowerment and fear

Much more potential is available to you if you engage in realistic, effective inner work
