Running away from your feelings
"I made a mistake"
It's often a hard statement to make
We love to be right
The feeling associated with the admission of failure is tough to bear
But if we can be ok with it, that is freedom
Since we won't be living in fear
Try practising
For 5 mins
Sit, close your eyes
Ask your mind to show you a mistake you have made, or a future you are nervous about
When something comes, put your attention on your body and embrace the sensations
Sit
Not wishing any of it to go away
Or increase
Notice your breathing
If your attention goes to your thoughts, bring it back to the body
No judgement
No agenda
Or fixing
Only noticing
Afterwards, see if you stand taller
You might have more energy. More decisiveness
Have a great day
When I was feeling confused and lost in the world I needed hope, autonomy and understanding. These daily emails are meant for that young human struggling in the challenging game of life
They should take you less than 30 seconds to read
